CMAS has developed the following training courses offered campuswide or upon request by any department:

CMAS Drop-In Sessions

Join Change Management and Advisory Services (CMAS) for periodic drop-in educational sessions on a variety of topics that address compliance, internal controls, audit updates, and policies and procedures. Each session will begin with a brief presentation followed by ample time to ask questions and share concerns. Sessions will be scheduled every other month and will be announced in The Elm in advance of the scheduled date. No registration is required for these virtual meetings.

Internal Control Training

Learn how controls assure effective and efficient operations, reliability of financial reporting, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This training is for anyone who authorizes or processes any financial transactions for UMB. It is usually offered a few times a year.

Procurement Card Refresher Training

Provides a review of ProCard policies and procedures and discusses current compliance monitoring trends and audit implications. This training is for current Cardholders and Authorized Reviewers. It is usually offered a few times a year.

Surviving An Audit

Learn about the types of audits/auditors you can expect at UMB, the audit process and areas reviewed under audit, how to interact and respond to auditors, and proactive measures you can take for good audit results. This training is for any faculty or staff who wants to learn more about the audit process and how audits impact UMB.
