UMB Strategic Plan 2022-2026

After months of hard work, the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) 2022-2026 Strategic Plan has been completed. This strategic plan, which will guide UMB’s collective priorities over the next five years, features six themes:

  1. Accountability and Integration of Core Values
  2. Student Growth and Success
  3. University Culture, Engagement, and Belonging
  4. Innovation and Reimagination
  5. Community Partnership and Collaboration
  6. Global Engagement and Education

The strategic planning process began in early 2021 and was led by co-chairs Judy L. Postmus, PhD, ACSW, dean and professor, School of Social Work, and Roger J. Ward, EdD, JD, MSL, MPA, provost and executive vice president.

Logistics and steering committees were formed and included representation from across UMB’s seven schools and Universitywide departments and offices. In addition, virtual town halls were held to receive input from UMB’s students, faculty, and staff.
