Every eight years, UMB undergoes a reaffirmation of its accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The process is an opportunity to strengthen the University through a comprehensive evaluation.

Draft Self-Study Community Review

During October 2024 members of the UMB community have the opportunity to review the current draft of the Self-Study document under preparation for the peer evaluation team coordinated by Middle States.

The draft Self-Study also identifies Opportunities for Improvement identified during the Self-Study process that would strengthen UMB's continued compliance with Middle States Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation, consistent with UMB's Core Values and Strategic Plan Themes.

Town Halls

Many members of the UMB community participated in one or all of the community town halls. Attendees were asked to work within a small group to provide feedback on specific standards and the outline of a chapter of the Middle States Self-Study.
