What should I report?
International Ethics Violations
All members of the UMB community, including third parties like vendors and consultants, have a responsibility to report signs of misconduct and report any known or reasonably suspected wrongdoing, ethics concerns, and possible violations of MGIC, UMB, or USM policy. This includes:
- Concerns about fraud, waste, abuse, harassment, and illegal behavior
- Known or suspected misconduct by personnel and those who interact with personnel, including but not limited to partners’ staff, Ministry representatives, vendors, program and research participants, and clients
International Safety & Security Incidents
All members of the UMB community are encouraged to be vigilant for security risks and deficiencies and to report any possible or known threats – even ones that are dealt with easily and quickly.
This includes anything related to safety and security - anything! Examples include:
- Rumors of civil unrest
- Threats against foreigners
- Harassment of healthcare workers
- Personnel not complying with seatbelt usage requirements
Go ahead and submit a report, even if you're thinking it's not a big deal. We want to know.
