FLSA Salary Requirements

As of July 1, 2024 the Department of Labor salary threshold for employees to be considered exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is set at $43,888/annually or $844/week. 

Effective January 1, 2025 the salary threshold for employees to be considered exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be $58,656 annually or $1,128/week.  This threshold minimum is regardless of FTE or hours worked and is applicable to all employee classes. 

In cases that the primary responsibility of an assignment involve teaching, practicing medicine, or practicing law the role may be exempted from the salary threshold limitation.
