First UMB CTSA KL2 Awardee Announced
The UMB ICTR is pleased to announce Dr. Janet Leath Alexander as the recipient of the inaugural UMB ICTR/CTSA KL2 Mentored Career Development Award funded by the NIH Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA).
Dr. Alexander is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus. Her research examines methods to reduce post-operative glaucoma related to pediatric surgery for congenital cataracts.
The purpose of the KL2 is to provide support for clinical and translational research training and career development. The ICTR/CTSA KL2 awardee will receive support for three years.
Junior faculty from all six professional schools on the UMB campus (Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Social Work) were invited to apply.
