About Us

What does USGA stand for?

USGA stands for University Student Government Association.

The USGA is a campuswide student government that represents all UMB students on campus.  It consists of Student Senators who are elected each year to represent the seven professional and graduate schools at monthly senate meetings (usually the second Wednesday of each month). The USGA Senate meetings are centered around issues and events that involve all UMB schools and their respective students.

What does the USGA do?

The USGA works toward enhancing the quality of life for all UMB students. It seeks to address student concerns that may arise throughout the school year, such as parking and campus safety.  Furthermore, the USGA promotes the free exchange of ideas and advocates for student rights. It financially co-sponsors events that provide campuswide educational, cultural, and social programs. The USGA provides several stress-relieving and fun activities where students from across the campus can meet each other, such as Fall Fest, Baseball Bullpen Party, mixers, and much more!

How can I get involved?

All students are welcome to participate in all USGA events and attend our monthly USGA Senate meetings. The USGA encourages students to become involved with the issues or with USGA event planning. Senate meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM on Zoom.
