JP Pierre is a public health and strategy professional with over 20 years of global experience in organizational development, employee engagement, assessment and measurement, and workplace inclusion.

Pierre is best known for leveraging data-driven strategies — leading surveys and information-gathering to embed innovative programs. As the inaugural director of the Office of Health Strategy and Engagement at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Pierre has led initiatives that have shaped organizational policies, strengthened departmental dynamics, and supported professional growth across departments.

Pierre is passionate about empowering administrative professionals, recognizing their critical role in shaping an organization’s culture and success. With a Master of Science in public health from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, Pierre brings a deep understanding of health equity, social inclusion, and organizational culture. A first-generation college student with Haitian heritage, she has delivered organizational development services to bilateral, multilateral, regional, and state institutions. 

Pierre is a certified project management professional (PMP) and senior professional in human resources (SPHR) with global experience in strategic planning, learning and development, and program and survey analysis. A former consultant with Deloitte & Touche and Booz Allen Hamilton, she excels in assessing and fostering high-performing workplaces. 

Pierre’s professional journey spans 26 countries across Africa, Latin America, North America, and Asia, where she has led diverse teams in designing and implementing programs. In 2024, she received the Distinguished Healthcare Executive Credential in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the American Association of Medical Colleges and remains a distinguished fellow and recipient of the Francois-Xavier Bagnoud Human Rights and Public Health Fellowship from Harvard University School of Public Health.

Fluent in French, Haitian-Creole, and English, and a mother of four, Pierre is best known for her relatable and insightful contributions toward making the work environment a better place.
