What is the UMID?

Your UMID is a unique username and password that is used to log-in to your workstation, email and many UMB Applications and services like Blackboard and the MyUMB portal.

Getting Started with your UMID

To activate your UMID you will need the following information:
  • Workstation/Email ID & password
  • SSN/PIN
For New Employees:
  • Your supervisor or hiring manager will provide your workstation/email ID and temporary password, If you have not received a Workstation/Email ID, contact your School's IT Help Desk.
  • Your UMID cannot be activated until the official start date listed on your employee contract. Once activated, it may take 24 hours for all UMB systems to synchronize and recognize your UMID and Password.

Existing UMID Users

Manage your UMID password, preferred name, and UMB Alerts in the UMB Account Management Site.
