JMP statistical discovery software from SAS is the tool of choice for scientists and other data explorers.

Teaching & Research

Licensee may only use SAS JMP for Teaching & non-commercial academic Research.  The software may only be used by users involved in research, teaching and learning activities under the authority of UMB. Teaching purposes shall be limited to classroom instruction and coursework directly related to UMB’s post-secondary degree requirements, including students enrolled at UMB in both on and off-site coursework.  Teaching & Research (T & R) use also includes formulation of theses and dissertations.  Research work is funded by the University or through a grant to the University. 

 a.         Research sponsored by for-profit entities and not under the direct control of UMB does not qualify for academic use.  If research is funded by a Corporate/Government agency for the benefit of that entity, that research does not qualify for Academic license. 

 b.         Administrative use is limited to activities associated with Customer’s business operations as an academic institution.  Use in the administration of the university’s operations does not qualify for academic T&R use.
