Located in Room 331 of the Health Sciences and Human Services Library, this state-of-the-art space is designed to support classes with HyFlex or hybrid course structures.

What is HyFlex?

The term “hyflex” refers to a course delivery model that allows students to choose among three modes of participation:

• Face-to-face live
• Online livestream
• Online asynchronous

This model provides flexibility for students to switch between these modalities based on their circumstances, ensuring consistent learning outcomes across all formats.

What is Hybrid?

In contrast, “hybrid” courses combine in-person instruction with online activities according to a set schedule, rather than student choice.

Classroom Features

Our advanced classroom technology includes:

• Two large video displays
• Ceiling microphones
• Speakers
• Tracking cameras
• Advanced controller/switching unit

Additionally, modular furniture allows for flexible space arrangements. Instruction on using the equipment is offered.

There is no fee for using the room, and it is available to any faculty member on campus. If you would like to schedule a tour of the room before making a reservation, submit your request to the FCTL email account.
