2025 PGIF Funding

Applications are currently open!  Applications are open for a one-time funding of up to $30,000 to launch or grow research, education, or service projects that have a global focus.

Applications will be accepted from January 15 to February 21.

Applicants will be notified March 10, with funds transferred to selected applicants in early April. Funds must be used for grant purposes by December 31, 2027.

The International Operations team at UMB is available to assist you in considering the logistical, financial, security, and other operational aspects of your proposed project. Early consultation with IO’s specialists in risk management, safety and security, IT, finance, and other functions can help you develop a feasible project design and avoid or prepare for the complexities of international project activity.

Applicants are encouraged to reach out to the IO team at globalhub@umaryland.edu for consultation on their project ideas and plans before submission.
