Stefaan Callens, LLM, PhD, is the founder of Callens Law Firm in Belgium. In 1995, he was admitted to the Brussels Bar and became a professor in health law at the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of Leuven.

Stefaan is a member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium and the steering group Health Community of the Flemish Network of Undertakings (VOKA). He has a professional passion for eHealth, hospital law, pharmaceutical law, regulation of medical devices, disciplinary law, and competition law in the health care sector. He publishes regularly regarding the organization of the health care sector, hospital legislation, pharmaceutical law, and eHealth.
