Federica Marini

Headshot of a womanFederica Marini is a medical doctor from Milan, Italy. She graduated in Medicine in 2018 from the University of Rome Tor Vergata with the goal of pursuing a career in the clinical management of complex humanitarian crises.

After graduating, she obtained a master's degree in international public health for Humanitarian Assistance at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Subsequently, she worked on humanitarian missions around the globe for about two years with a focus on complex humanitarian crises.

Her experiences during that period fueled her passion for trauma and emergency management. She is in the third year of the residency program in Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the University of Milan Bicocca. Through the Shock Trauma Global Surgery Scholar Program, she is excited for the chance to learn from experts in the field at the United States’ first integrated trauma hospital.
