The President’s Global Impact Fund (PGIF) provides initial support for transformative initiatives that develop cross-campus and international collaborations and enhance UMB's global engagement and reach.

One of this year's awardees was REACH Mental Health in Kenya with Peter Memiah, DrPH, MSc, Associate Professor of Epidemiology, UM School of Medicine (Ciheb); Fernando Wagner, MPH, DS, Professor, UM School of Social Work; and collaborator Dr. Lilian Otiso, LVCT Health.

The project team shared information about their project in "Engaging Youth in Mental Health Approaches in Kenya and the U.S." as part of the President's Student Leadership Institute's Global Leadership specialization, sponsored by CGE.
