Deborah Gioia, PhD, LCSW-C, Associate Professor at the UMB School of Social Work, will present "Doing a PhotoVoice Project in a COIL Course Linking Thai and U.S. Students" at the International Virtual Exchange Conference this October in Valencia, Spain.

The four--week COIL project is a collaboration between social work graduate students at UMB and undergraduate and graduate students at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Thailand from varied disciplines.

Dr. Gioia was a 2020-21 GLOBALtimore Fellow, which focused on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) courses.
