on June 2, the grant recipients of the President’s Global Impact Fund (PGIF) provided updates on their projects to UMB President Dr. Bruce Jarrell.

Run by the Center for Global Engagement, PGIF provides initial support for transformative initiatives that develop cross-campus and international collaborations and enhance UMB's global engagement and reach.

Representatives from UMB and their international partners shared their project's goals and current status with Dr. Jarrell and fellow grantees. Notwithstanding the impact of the pandemic on every project, the seed funding program has resulted in new sources of external funding, bi-directional international collaborations, and several publications.
