Miriam Laufer, MD, professor of pediatrics and associate director for malaria research, and colleagues from Malawi recently published a commentary in The Lancet Infectious Diseases on a clinical trial that studied malaria prevention in pregnant women living with HIV infection.

In their commentary, Dr. Laufer and her colleagues highlighted the central role of malaria surveillance to inform the implementation of new interventions and policy decisions.
