Anna-Marie C. Epps, MS

Anna-Marie C. Epps, MS Anna-Marie Epps is the administrative program specialist at the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HSHSL) and a co-chair of the HSHSL’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

She has a diverse history in both higher education administration and nonprofit arts management. Epps joined UMB in August 2012 and has been an active participant in the coordination of library-sponsored programming and events and has spearheaded many other special projects in a collaborative effort with campus, community, and national organizations. She was selected for the UMB Emerging Leaders program in 2015 and honored as UMB Employee of the Month in November 2016.

In addition to co-chairing the library’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Epps serves on the President’s Diversity Advisory Council. She is also an active member of the library’s Exhibits, Displays and Promotions Committee and the newly formed Culture Sharing Events Subcommittee. She has varied interests, including event planning, marketing and communications, poetry, and music. Her hope is to use her interests in diversity and inclusion and the arts to help promote personal and collective growth, understanding, and positive change.  

Epps is an alumna of Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received her BS in mass communications, and Virginia State University, where she received her MS in career and technical studies with a focus in project management.
