Kristin Reavis, MD, MBS is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She currently serves as the program director for the Family Medicine Residency program and the Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion for the School of Medicine.

Dr. Reavis completed her undergraduate education at Morgan State University before earning her Masters of Biological Sciences at Drexel University. She earned her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine then completed her residency and fellowship training in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She joined the faculty at University of Maryland in 2013 where she practices full scope family medicine. Dr. Reavis is the faculty advisor for the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s chapter of the Student National Medical Association and is a co-faculty advisor for the Student Diversity Council. She has also been an advisor for the School of Medicine’s House Advisory system since its inception in 2016. Additionally, she serves on both UMB’s President’s Diversity Advisory Council as well as the School of Medicine’s Diversity Advisory Council. Dr. Reavis serves as the director of maternal child health and is a family medicine obstetrics provider for the department. Her academic and clinical interests include women’s health and social justice/health equity.  She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was the 2019 recipient of the Dean’s Alumni Award for Diversity and Inclusion.

Dr. Reavis lives in Laurel with her husband Shaun and their three daughters.
