Nicole K. Palmore, MSW

Nicole K. Palmore, MSWNicole K. Palmore, MSW, is the director of diversity, inclusion, and intercultural learning at the University of Maryland School of Nursing.

Prior to this role, Palmore worked for four years as a senior organization and employee development consultant with Human Resource Services at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Palmore joined the University in 2016 after working in learning and development for over 15 years. She held positions in organizational development with the Department of Transportation and Springfield Hospital Center and as a training director with the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions. She has also consulted with companies in the nonprofit and health care industries. 

Palmore holds a bachelor’s in psychology cum laude from Georgetown University and a master’s in social work summa cum laude from UMB and completed a master’s certificate in instructional design from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Most recently, she completed a second master’s certificate in intercultural leadership at UMB and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in higher education leadership at Frostburg State University. She is a member of the University’s Diversity Advisory Council, an ex-officio member of the School of Nursing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and the School of Nursing Staff Council. She is a board member for DNPs of Color.
