The CEC will accept reservation requests for events occurring Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Event hours must include setup and clean-up within that time frame. The basement community room is unavailable for requests at this time. Due to this, we can review requests that have up to 24 attendees. The CEC is located at 16 S. Poppleton St.

Priority is generally given to events and programs that are initiated by the local community, though space requests are evaluated on an individual basis. Priority is given in the following order: 

1. Community-initiated events that are free of charge and open to the public
2. UMB-initiated events with a community benefit that are free of charge and open to the public
3. Community-initiated events that have a fee and are open to the public
4. UMB-initiated events that have a fee and are open to the public
5. Private events

To request space in the Community Engagement Center, please respond in detail to each section in the form below.  All submissions will be carefully reviewed on Fridays at 3:00. Approvals and denials will be provided by email by close of business the following Tuesday.
