The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) endowment portfolio provides essential, timeless, and permanent support to the extraordinary UMB faculty and students throughout our six professional schools and interdisciplinary Graduate School.

The endowment is one of UMB’s most powerful tools, offering long-lasting stability and flexibility to the entire University. The UMB endowment portfolio is comprised of 1,118 funds with a market value of $470.84 million (as of 12/31/2022). This fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2023, the total amount of spendable income is $18.02M.
