The transfer of a sponsored award from one institution to another requires the review and approval of SPA and SPAC. When a PI plans to move to another institution and terminates their affiliation with UMB, the PI will need to either request the transfer of their active Award(s) to their new institution or identify a replacement PI to oversee the completion of the award at UMB. A “Departing PI Award Disposition” must be filled out to notify SPA and SPAC of anticipated actions.
