Transferring a sponsored award from one institution to another requires approval from SPA and SPAC. When a PI moves to another institution and leaves UMB, they must either transfer their active awards to the new institution or appoint a replacement PI at UMB. A "Departing PI Award Disposition" form must be completed to inform SPA and SPAC of the planned actions.
