Contracts and Grants Opportunities

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is currently recruiting for several positions relating to Contracts and Grants.  These key positions work with faculty, administrators and staff to provide pre-award and post award management for sponsor related funds. Sponsored research totaled $500.9 million in Fiscal Year 2014. With 6,276 students and 7,375 faculty members and staff, the University is an economic engine that returns more than $15 in economic activity for every $1 of state general funds appropriation.

Requirements: BA/BS (Business, Public Administration) and 3 years’ experience working with contracts and grants. The preferred candidate will have prior experience in Coeus/Kuali Coeus.

 

Department/School:     Office of Research and Development

Job Title:    Administrator, Clinical and Corporate Contract Budgets-Job #10707
Requirements:    BA/BS (Finance, Accounting, Science, Engineering, Business, Pre-Law) and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in clinical and/or corporate budget development and negotiation, project management, and/or business development.  The preferred candidate will have a MBA, MS and/or PHD.
Job Title:   Clinical and Corporate Contract Budgets Administrator –Job #10706
Requirements:  BA/BS (Science, Engineering, Business, Pre-Law) and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in contract development and negotiation, project management, and/or business development.  The preferred candidate will possess advanced education (PHD) in one more life sciences as well as post-doctoral experience.

Job Title:    Sr. Contracts & Grants Specialist-Job #10396
Requirements:    BS/BA (Business, Public Administration) and 5 yrs. experience working with contracts and grants. The preferred candidate will have 1 year supervisory.
