Opened in 1841, the country's fourth pharmacy college has been a leader in both education and pharmaceutical research and development. In 1993 it became the first pharmacy school in the Northeast to offer the entry-level PharmD as its sole professional degree. Service programs include the Maryland Poison Center, Elder Health, and the Drug Information Center.
