School of Social Work

The School of Social Work ranks in the top 20 graduate-level social work programs.  Youngest of the seven, the School of Social Work was founded in 1961.  It is the only graduate social work school in Maryland and one of the country's largest.  The faculty is known for innovative work in child and family welfare, and advocacy in the courts, and for single parents and foster care.
