Every eight years, UMB undergoes a reaffirmation of its accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). The process is an opportunity to strengthen the University through a comprehensive evaluation.

During October 2024 members of the UMB community had the opportunity to review the current draft of the Self-Study document under preparation for the peer evaluation team coordinated by Middle States.

The draft Self-Study also identified Opportunities for Improvement identified during the Self-Study process that would strengthen UMB's continued compliance with Middle States Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation, consistent with UMB's Core Values and Strategic Plan Themes.

The Steering Committee appreciates the comments and feedback received for improving this important document.
