Maintenance Administration

We are a team of dedicated administrative professionals who work behind the scenes to support over 14,000 UMB campus customers and 300 facilities staff members, ensuring smooth operations of UMB’s 65-acre campus and 57 buildings. Our responsibilities include:

  • Exuding excellent customer service to the UMB campus community by responding to user inquiries, resolving issues, and following up on feedback.
  • Assisting technicians and shop managers with work management and performance by monitoring work hours, tracking work orders, equipment maintenance and costs, and generating custom reports to measure and improve their productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Overseeing the customer billing process and ensuring accuracy and transparency by verifying invoices, reconciling accounts, and communicating with customers.
  • Managing our supply chain, loading dock, and inventory in our warehouses to ensure our teams have the materials needed to repair and maintain our campus.
  • Administering contracted services for preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure seamless operational coverage 24/7, ensuring alignment with UMB procurement rules in partnership with our contractors. 
  • Providing guidance, resources, and training for human resources functions, activities, and objectives.  
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new technicians and managers by providing them with the necessary devices and tools, such as laptops, tablets, phones, software, and manuals.
  • Coordinating with other teams and departments within Facilities & Operations and the UMB administration to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Leveraging information technology to improve data accuracy, reduce duplication of work, enhance operational effectiveness, and tell our story.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in all facets of what we do.
