Market Center Garage

Starting January 2, 2025

The Market Center Student Monthly Parking Program is an opt-in monthly parking program for students of UMB. The Market Center Garage is owned and operated by the Parking Authority of Baltimore City. This garage is located at 221 N. Paca St. This program only provides parking at the Market Center Garage and is for commuter students only!

The Market Center Garage is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is staffed Monday thru Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. After 8:00 p.m., access is available using the provided access card.

Market Center Student Monthly Parking Program renewal and registration is ongoing. Please note that you must provide a copy of your class schedule that includes your name (SURFS) at time of application in order to receive a Market Center Student Monthly Permit. Reply emails, calendars or outlook calendars are not accepted.

Rules

Please read all of the following information before proceeding. Failure to follow these procedures will delay the parking registration process and could result in a loss of parking privileges.

There is no online registration for Market Center Student Monthly Parking Program. There is limited availability in this parking program.

  • Permit must be displayed at all times.
  • Permit must be returned when you graduate or withdraw. You must withdraw and/or cancel from the program before the first of the month as parking fees are due until parking is canceled, which includes the returning of parking access permits.
  • Students may only possess one parking permit at a time.
  • Students must park at the Market Center garage.
  • There is NO after 4 p.m. weekday access or weekend access to any UMB garage in this parking program.
  • Monthly student permits are for use while students are attending classes, not for overnight parking.
  • If you arrive at the garage without proof you are a registered, permitted parker, you will have to take a ticket and pay up to the maximum posted daily rate. There are no refunds.
  • Student monthly rate is $40.00

How To Apply

All students: To access the Market Center Student Monthly Parking Program, you must do the following:

  1. Complete an Application.
  2. Attached a copy of your class schedule with your name (SURFS). This is mandatory.
  3. You will receive an email confirmation and a link to make an appointment to pick up your permit. Permits must be picked up within five days of receiving an appointment link or the application will be voided.
  4. There is a access card deposit of $25.00 paid by credit card only. Card deposits are refunded only if access card is returned.
  5. Pay the first monthly fee of $40.00 in person at the cashier’s office. After the first payment, this is payable online only on the first of every month.

Additional information regarding Market Center Student Monthly Parking Program will be provided with the receipt of your permit and access card. Please note that there are no semester or monthly breaks in this parking program. If students cancel from the program, there is no guarantee that parking will be available at a later date. Monthly payments are due on the first of every month in order to remain in the program. There is a five-day grace period for payments only, not to cancel your parking. Access is removed after the sixth of the month if payment is not made.
