Your Support

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) invites you to invest in the health and well-being of the Eastern Shore.

Creating a thriving community for all might be a tall task, but the UMB Eastern Shore Rural Health Scholars Program is ready for the challenge. Decades of research show investments in health care education have the power to create a pipeline of talented health care professionals who are needed in rural communities like Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

UMB is committed to being the connector to make it happen.

Developing more clinicians and practitioners of high-quality health care in the rural communities of the Eastern Shore is our goal and our role. Through a collaborative approach, UMB is excited to share the next phase of our work: aligning and coordinating University and community resources and assets toward creating the talent pipeline, continually investing to develop that talent, and ensuring family and community health care stability.

In partnership with families and community organizations, we will act as a connector, bridging gaps to ensure all families on the Eastern Shore thrive.
