UMB Police Officer Requirements:

• 21+ years old
• United States citizen
• Vision must be 20/100 (Snellen) or better in the weaker eye, with vision correctable to 20/30 in each eye and wear corrective lenses, if needed
• No felony conviction
• Demonstrate physical ability to perform job responsibilities
• Successfully complete reading and writing skills assessment
• Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, on call, and as needed
• Possess and maintain a valid Maryland driver’s license

Physical Agility Test

Finalists are required to complete a pass/fail physical evaluation:

• 1.5-mile run
• Push-ups (one minute)
• Bent-leg sit-ups (one minute)
• Sit and reach
• Slide pull
