Security Officer Patrice Thompson takes pride in her work. “I became a security officer to help others feel safe,” she says. “I enjoy assisting those in need and getting to know the people I work with.”

Thompson joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Department of Police and Public Safety in January of this year. She says she strives to be the best she can be at her job and do her best every day. She brings professionalism and service excellence to all she does. 

Outside of work, Thompson enjoys spending time with family and friends. “I’m very easy to get along with,” she says — so be sure to say “hi” when you see her!
