Dear UMB Community,

Across the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), administrative support professionals connect people, juggle projects, plan for needed resources, and manage documents and records. They keep us on task and on schedule and are often the first friendly voice we hear on the phone or see in the office. In short, they are the heart and soul of our University.

On this Administrative Professionals Day, I want to recognize and thank the myriad administrative professionals who demonstrate excellence at UMB every day. Thank you for all that you do — and especially for the increased demands you have faced and met as the pandemic has necessitated that we collaborate differently.
