Jenny Owens, ScD, MS
Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and Strategic Initiatives, Office of the Provost
Associate Professor, School of Graduate Studies

Dr. Jenny Owens, ScD, MS leads the Healthcare Housing Lab, a nationwide initiative to identify and map healthcare housing organizations across the United States. In collaboration with the Healthcare Hospitality Network and an interprofessional team of students and volunteers, she served as PI and led a team in the development of a comprehensive, user-friendly platform that consolidates all healthcare housing options into a single, searchable map. This practical tool complements her scholarly work, including an upcoming peer-reviewed publication detailing additional findings of the healthcare housing census.

She actively contributes to research on health equity, health-related social needs, and health care access, focusing on housing. Currently, she serves as Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and Strategic Initiatives at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and holds the position of Associate Professor in its School of Graduate Studies.
