Carey A. Martin is the business operations administrator for Comparative Medicine and Veterinary Resources at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), a role she has held since October 2021. Before that, she worked at UMSOM’s Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health for more than a decade. Martin held several positions over the years, including administrative assistant, program coordinator, program manager, program director, office manager, accounting manager, and director of clinical business operations.

Martin also is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Maryland Graduate School, teaching in the Research Administration Certificate Program. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Villa Julie College, a Master of Arts degree in Nonprofit Management from Notre Dame of Maryland University, a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University, and a graduate certificate in Research Administration from the University of Maryland Graduate School.
