Strategic Plan Implementation Management System (SPIMS)

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Strategic Planning, and Assessment, in conjunction with the Center for Information Technology Services, developed the Strategic Plan Implementation Management System (SPIMS) to facilitate SMART goal creation and approval, risk assessment, and progress reporting for the FY 2022 - FY 2026 UMB Strategic Plan.

SPIMS can be accessed via links on this page utilizing the single sign-on UMB Portal.

January 31, 2024 - Progress Reporting Period Closes

October 31, 2023 - Fiscal Year-End Progress Reporting Period Closes

Note: Goals must be reviewed and approved by IESPA before risks are assigned

^*Note: Goals must have an Annual Implementation Plan and a Risk Assessment for the current fiscal year and the upcoming fiscal year completed and at least one metric defined before Fiscal Year-End Progress Reports can be created.

Login Procedure and Instructions

The login for the Strategic Plan Implementation Management System (SPIMS) is integrated into the UMB Portal (Single Sign On). Separate login IDs and passwords are not needed.

The same link to SPIMS is used by all system users, regardless of role.

SPIMS User Roles

Administrator - Can enter, edit, and approve goals and keywords, and also enter risks, progress and annual reports for the assigned unit
Contributor - Can enter and edit goals and keywords, risks, progress and annual reports but cannot approve on behalf of assigned unit
View Only - Can view goals and keywords, risks, progress, and annual plans for the assigned unit
