The Writing Center is located in the SMC Campus Center in Room 307.

From North of Baltimore (outer loop of 695) ▾

  • Take I-83 South (signs for Baltimore)
  • Take Exit 4 for MD-2 S/St. Paul Street (0.1 mi)
  • Bear right onto MD-2 S/St. Paul Street (1.2 mi)
  • Turn right at E. Lombard Street (0.6 mi)
  • Arrive at 621 W. Lombard St.

From East of Baltimore (outer loop of 695) ▾

  • Take I-70 E toward Baltimore
  • Take exit toward I-695 S (0.5 mi)
  • Keep right at the fork and merge onto I-695 S (5.2 mi)
  • Take Exit 11A-11B for I-95 N/I-95 S toward Baltimore/Washington (0.2 mi)
  • Keep left at fork and merge onto I-95 N (3.4 mi)
  • Take Exit 52 for Russell Street N (0.6 mi)
  • Slight left at Baltimore-Washington Parkway/Russell Street (1.1 mi)
  • Continue onto S. Paca Street (0.2 mi)
  • Turn left at W. Lombard Street (0.1 mi)
  • Arrive at 621 W. Lombard St.

From Northeast of Baltimore (outer loop of 695 toward Philadelphia) ▾

  • Head southwest on I-95 S (will pass through a tunnel with a toll)
  • Take Exit 53 for I-395 N/Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard toward Downtown Baltimore (0.3 mi)
  • Merge onto I-395 (1.0 mi)
  • Continue onto S. Howard Street (0.2 mi)
  • Turn left at W. Lombard Street (0.3 mi)
  • Arrive at 621 W. Lombard St.

From South of Baltimore (outer loop of 695/Washington, D.C.) ▾

  • Head northeast on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway
  • Continue onto S. Paca Street (0.2 mi)
  • Turn left at W. Lombard Street (0.1 mi)
  • Arrive at 621 W. Lombard St.

Directions to the Penn Street and Pratt Street Garages (from I-95) ▾

  • Take Exit 53 for I-395/Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (toward Downtown Baltimore) (0.5 mi)
  • Merge onto I-395 (0.3 mi)
  • Take the MLK Jr. Boulevard exit (0.4 mi)
  • Slight left at N. MLK Jr. Boulevard (0.7 mi)
  • Turn right at W. Pratt Street

For Penn Garage: Turn left at first traffic light onto Penn Street. The entrance to the Penn Street Garage will be on the left. Walk out of the garage and take a left onto Penn Street. Next, go right onto Lombard Street. The SMC Campus Center will be located a half-block east on your right-hand side.

For Pratt Garage: Pass through one light, crossing over Penn Street. Then turn left for the entrance to the Pratt Street Garage. You may enter the SMC Campus Center from Level 3 on the east side of the garage (when there is security coverage).
