Mohammad Umar Abbasi is currently a 4th year medical student at Dow International Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He grew up and spent his entire life in North Potomac, MD, even attending a few semesters at the University of Maryland before deciding to pursue medicine. He enjoys lifting weights and watching movies in his free time.

Haya Ali 

Haya Ali is a graduate of West Windsor Plainsboro High School North in Princeton, NJ and continued her premedical education at Stonybrook University in Long Island, NY. In 2020, Haya joined Dow International Medical College in Pakistan for the five-year MD program. Haya is excited to be a part of the program at UMB to expand her knowledge and broaden her horizons under seasoned physicians.

Razaan Khan is a graduate of Fairfield Warde High School in Connecticut and just completed her third year of medical studies at Dow International Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, where she received the Certificate for High Achievers. Razaan volunteers at her university hospital through Dow Patient Care Association, where she helps facilitate financial assistance to those in need. She is also involved in Share for Care, a UK-based organization working to improve healthcare access and outcomes in underserved communities in Pakistan. In her free time, Razaan is an avid reader and enjoys writing, with a particular interest in poetry.

Misha Tauni is a graduate of Karachi Grammar School, Pakistan and is a final year medical student at Dow Medical College, Pakistan. She is part of the advisory council of First Response Initiative of Pakistan (FRIP), a student-led NGO that aims to impart first response knowledge to the masses. Being a strong advocate for women’s health, Misha lead the volunteers at HerWaqt, a student-led NGO revolutionizing reproductive health in low income settings. During her time at UMMC, Misha aims to strengthen her clinical acumen, critical thinking, and research skills. In her free time, she enjoys reading and painting.
